Type B - 'Author'
'Authors' live in a world
of ideas. They are independent and have strong feelings, firm principles
and personal integrity. They trust their own ideas and decisions and are
motivated by an inner vision that they value above all else, including
others opinions and authority.
Type B's have intuitive
insights into situations, which they take as valid regardless of if others
share their enthusiasms. They are loyal, committed and idealistic. They
can be determined to the point of being stubborn. They have a clear vision
of what is best for the common good and because of their strength and
conviction, can become great leaders.
They value agreement and
harmony and will go to great lengths to win the cooperation of others and
avoid conflicts. They are empathetic and compassionate and have a desire
to help in the welfare of others. They are aware of other peoples emotions
and deal well with complicated people. Type B's tend to have complex
personalities and can be both intense and sensitive. They can be hard to
get to know at first, but will share their inner selves with the
people they trust.
Possible downside:
Authors can be into the 'idea' to the point where they neglect the details
that need attention. They can be impractical
and may need to anchor their ideas to the 'real world'. They may develop
'tunnel vision' because they are so committed to their own principles.
Type B's may overlook
facts that contradict their beliefs and can be stubborn with regards to
change. They may not hear the objections of others because, to them, their
position seems unquestionable. It would do Authors well to look at things more objectively.
