Type
F - 'Scientist'
Perfectionists.
Type F's have a need for competence. They have faith in their own ideas
which drives them to achieve their objectives. They are logical, critical,
ingenious and can see consequences of the application of new ideas.
'Scientists' are not bothered by the criticism or indifference of others.
They are the most independent of all types and do things their way. This
type can be skeptical, decisive, and determined. They are not impressed by
authority, but can conform to rules if the benefit serves a greater
purpose.
They
are natural brainstormers and good strategic thinkers. 'Scientists'
are theoretical and work well with complex concepts. They can see benefits
and flaws with clarity. If the subject interests them, they can focus,
spend energy, drive, determination, vision and perseverance on it.
Possible
downside:
Type F's may expect too much from themselves and others because of
their unrealistically high standards. They don't care how they measure up
to others' standards, just their own. 'Scientists' can lack understanding
of how things affect other people and can be blunt in giving advice. They
would do well to learn to understand others' feelings and accept them as
valid, whether they seem logical or not.
Type
F's often choose to be alone and can neglect to invite others to
participate in activities. Because they are so focused on their own
visions and ideas for the future, they are vulnerable to missing some
important realities and facts of the present moment. Gathering all
relevant data will help ensure that their ideas are workable.
